Facing the impact on local security of an increasingly polarised public debate

Polarisation, extremism and disinformation are weighing increasingly heavily on our democratic processes and the rule of law. This is a trend that worries Efus' member local and regional authorities because they see the consequences on social cohesion and public order on the ground.

Our 2025 manifesto includes recommendations on how to locally prevent and counter disinformation and polarisation. AI for Cities: Efus and Google partner to offer cities tailored training in artificial intelligence
|
|
💡 The AI for Cities programme aims to train 175 security and crime prevention professionals from municipalities from six European countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain. This project is funded by
the Center for Public Impact (CPI) with support from the Google.org AI
